Accessibility statement
SIA Ireland is being built so people can understand the information and use the calculator with different devices, input methods and assistive technologies.
SIA Ireland does not currently claim formal WCAG conformance. Accessibility checks run before each release, and reports are investigated.
Accessibility approach
- Essential explanations, sources and limitations are present in the served HTML and remain readable without client-side JavaScript.
- Pages use semantic headings, landmarks, descriptive links, visible focus styles and a skip link.
- Core functions are designed for keyboard and touch use, with form labels and announced validation messages.
- Layouts are tested for reflow, text enlargement and reduced-motion preferences.
Current testing
Automated browser checks cover accessibility rules, keyboard paths, core functions and horizontal reflow at 320, 768, 1024 and 1536 CSS pixels. Critical information is also checked with JavaScript disabled.
Automated checks do not replace testing by people who use assistive technology. Accessibility will continue to be reviewed and improved as the site develops.
Report an accessibility problem
For a report that contains no personal information, open a public GitHub issue. Include the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology involved.
Do not put personal or sensitive information in a public issue. Use the private privacy email route when the report concerns personal data.
